RAD: White Shark Dive Videoblog
Our Gadling friend Jon
Rawlinson is at it again. Last time it was the Autobahn. This time, Jon takes on a great white, and
took his camera underwater with him during a recent shark dive off the coast of Cape Town. I have to admit that I've
been a bit swamped this week and haven't had a chance to watch this video myself, but if it's like any of his other
travel video blogs, it will not disappoint, I'm sure. Head over to Jon's RAD blog to read his account of the experience and watch
the Quicktime video. Here is additional information about the
diving company that the brave adventurer went with, White Shark
Ecoventures, in case you feel compelled to give it a try. I can state strongly that this is one adventure that is
absolutely NOT on my Life List, but kudos to Jon for giving in a go, AND with camera in tow. Before heading to Africa a
few months ago, Jon visited Dubai and produced another short video I thought I'd wuickly mention. If you can't get away to do
this stuff on your own, at least watch these videoblogs to get a sens of what it feels like, if these places and
activities interest you. They really bring travel to life, no matter where you are watching them from.Filed under: Scuba Diving, Blogs

I read Jon's report and watched his video. They were both great (http://divester.com/2006/01/09/the-rad-blog-goes-cage-diving-with-great-whites/). If you want to know *exactly* what cage-diving with Great Whites in Gansbaai is like, from an unbiased source, this is it. How do I know? Because I made this dive in 2001.
